Frédérique, a rich Parisian bourgeois, notices someday a young woman, Why, sketching chalk hinds on the pavement on the Pont des Arts. Frédérique seduces her and brings her to her villa in Saint-Tropez. They spent lovely days there until Why falls in love with an attractive architect, Paul Thomas.
In an indomitable fit of jealousy, Frédérique sets on seducing Paul. She doesn’t know yet that an abandoned Why will slowly lose her mind.
